DESCRIPTION:I’m hosting elite equestrian physio Andy Thomas for both follow up treatments and off-horse initial rider assessment and treatment clinics on 6th April. 1:1 sessions are 45 minutes long for initial appointments or 30 minutes physio sessions for riders that have already had an assessment. This is suitable for all ages\, levels and disciplines of riding. Priority will be given for my livery clients and those taking regular coaching sessions with me. Wait list only for non regular clients. \nLocation is Heathers Farm\, The Haven\, RH14 9BN and the day runs from 08:00-16:30. This short video could include flat work (centreline\, circles\, lateral work) or jumping. \nAndy will explain asymmetry and its potential effect on you and your performance. He will then assess your weaknesses and imbalances and provide a tailored rehabilitation plan to re-correct. \nAttendees will also be able to see and purchase Andy’s Testt Activation Tool Kit which encompasses exercises and products in a handy go-to bag to use for 15 minutes before you ride to warm up the muscles essential to riding. \nAndy Thomas is a High Performance Human Science Sports Medicine Advisor to the USA equestrian teams and developer of TESTT (Thomas equestrian symmetry types and tests). Russell Mackechnie-Guire of Centaur Biomechanics is returning for another rider analysis clinic at my yard on Saturday 21stMarch 2020. During your session Russell will provide invaluable feedback on the mechanics and assymetries of you as a rider\, giving you clear and positive corrections and areas to work on. \nRussell provides professional and experienced interpretation of your position and your horse’s performance. Because the way you sit on your horse has a dramatic effect on its soundness\, performance and development. He uses high speed video cameras\, Visualise training jackets and Quintic software to provide constructive analysis\, ensuring you get the best possible results out of the session. \nFrom the session you’ll get:\nInstant visual feedback whilst mounted\nStep by step process in evaluating position and horse’s way of going\nBite size exercises given to help improve position and understanding\nYou can see immediate differences with the before and after footage\nDetailed feedback forms given after the session \nThe sessions is open to riders of all levels – riding club through to Grand Prix – and can help improve your dressage marks and jumping technique. \nRunning all day\, rider slots are 45 minutes and cost £60 plus £5 school hire.
